Hey everyone!
I just wanted to hop on here quick and post my nails of the day. :)
I have Sinful Colors in Oh La La on, with Milani One Coat Glitter in Gold Glitz over it.
The thing I loved most about the Sinful Colors nail polish is that it came with this cute little ring! I'm undecided on the color though - it comes out more "traffic cone orange" on your nails than it looks in the bottle. I think this is one I will have to save for my toes.
Haul post coming soon!
Stay beautiful,
Nykkie

What I'm Loving Right Now, Part II
Hey everyone!
As promised, here is my list of beauty items that I am loving right now.
Hair Products - My absolute favorite shampoo/conditioner is the Organix Ever-Straight Brazillian Keratin Therapy. These smell amazing, and I have noticed a difference in the straightness in my hair. I have naturally wavy hair, with the tendency to get quite frizzy while blow-drying it. After getting out of the shower, I use the John Freida Frizz Ease Serum right before I blow-dry. It makes my hair pretty straight to the point I have little to straighten!
I try not to wash my hair every day since it's pretty bad for your hair, so I am always on the hunt for a great dry shampoo. I tried the Pantene one first, and liked it, other than the fact it would leave such an awful white residue in my hair (I'm a brunette so it was very visible!). I went to Ulta and got a sample of the Oscar Blande dry shampoo and hated it. I am so happy I didn't get the full version - I didn't feel that it worked at all, and the smell was overwhelming, it was sickly sweet.
I recently read in a magazine that the beauty editors loved the Suave Professionals Dry Shampoo - I was shocked to hear that they loved a Suave product! I always thought of the brand to be tacky and cheap. Not anymore! I got a coupon for 50 cents off of two products from their professional line, and I got the dry shampoo and the shine spray and I love them both! The dry shampoo beat the Pantene and the Oscar Blande by miles.
Makeup:
Primers - I have recently fallen in love with Physician's Formula products. I got a hold of these $5 off of any product coupons and I went a little nuts with them! I bought the 3-in-1 correcting primer + sun protection in nude. It doesn't totally make all of the redness in my skin go away, but it dramatically evens my skin tone and gives me a nice glow - it just makes the perfect canvas for my foundation.
Foundation - Since self tanning, I needed to get some darker foundation...I am scared to put self tanner on my face because I don't want it to be splotchy or look bad. Walgreens had a buy one get one 1/2 off so I bought the Revlon Photo Ready and the Revlon Color Stay foundations. I haven't used the Color Stay yet, but I picked it up for later when I have full days at school this fall. I have used the Photo Ready and am amazed! I read a ton of reviews and people's biggest gripe was the shimmer in it. I really don't notice it at all, it seemed pretty matte to me, even in the sun. People also say there's a white cast to it in photos, but I haven't taken any pictures while wearing it yet, so I will get back to you on that. I love the coverage of this foundation - I had completely given up on liquid foundation because I could never find one that was good enough, and this restored my faith. I think I really just needed more of a medium to full coverage instead of a light.
Concealer - The two I really like the most right now are the Revlon Photo Ready Concealer and the Physician's Formula Rx Concealer. I use them both (one or the other) on blemishes, and on my under eyes after the Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Dark Circle Eye Roller (the tinted one).
Powder - I use Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and love it. It really does help with my oily t-zone - I press it into those oily spots with my brush rather than to just dust it on as well and that also helps.
Blush - I have been using NYX Pinched (a dupe for NARS Orgasm!), Physician's Formula Mineral Glow Pearl, Hard Candy Fox in a Box (the lightest pink box with the bronzer) and Physician's Formula Happy Booster Blush. I have to say that I have been using Pinched the most lately, and I sometimes put the pearl blush over it to give it a nice sheen.
Bronzer - I am really into contouring and use NYC Matte Bronzer in Sunny and the bronzer part of Fox in a Box. I reach for Sunny the most as it is pretty dark and that it's matte.
Highlighter - I recently got the Physician's Formula Mineral Glow Pearl in translucent because I heard it was a good dupe for MAC Silver Dusk. I immediately loved it, but was really bummed to find out the intense shimmer was just an overlay! I still use it, but really have to pack it on and it is much less intense now that the overlay is gone. I am just going to spring for the Silver Dusk as I know that I will love it. I have the Happy Booster translucent powder as well, but I honestly don't really like it because it's extremely subtle. I think it showed up better when I had really pale skin.
Eyes - Oh my, I am an eye product junkie so there are many favorites! As for shadows, the Too Faced Natural Eye Palette, Maybelline Eye Studio Eye Shadow Quad in Green with Envy, and the ELF Beauty Book Brights Edition seem to be the ones I reach for most. Liners - I have a ton of liners that I love: Physician's Formula Shimmer Strip Gel Liner trio in Hazel, Physician's Formula Eye Enhancing eyeliner trio in Green, and my ELF black liquid liner.
Mascara - I am a mascara junkie too. My combinations change quite a bit...I recently discovered that layering different mascaras works beautifully so I starting doing that in the last month. I was layering the Physician's Formula Eye Enhancing mascara in Hazel under Maybelline Falsies until I brought home the Revlon Custom-Eyes - holy crap does this mascara define! It doesn't lengthen very well so that's why I layer the Falsies on top.
Lips - Until recently I didn't really play with lip colors that much. My absolute favorite lipstick of the moment is a beautiful nude - Avon in Bare! I used to hate this on my lips because of my extremely light skin tone, it looked really odd and brown. Now that I am tan, it is the most beautiful color I have ever seen. I have been topping that off with ELF Hypershine Gloss in Flirt and Blossom (a nude peachy color and a baby pink). Other favie combos: NYX Indian Pink (I don't know why they call it pink, it is a very peachy orange!) topped off with Milani 3D Glitzy Glamor Gloss in Designer Label, NYX Rose bud with L'oreal Infallible Plumping gloss in Plumped Pink, ELF Luscious liquid lipstick in Cherry Tart topped with ELF plumping lip glaze in Mauve Berry, and last but not least ELF luscious liquid lipstick in Pink Lemonade topped with the plumping lip glaze in Oasis. The great thing about all of these ELF lip products is that they were only one dollar!
Nail polish - I have just recently started really experimenting with my nails as well. I have always had pretty bad nails - they peel and are not very strong at all, and some of them curve down oddly. I can never wear them very long length wise bare because it looks awful. I never was really into nail polish and I recently starting watching beauty You Tube videos and all of the girls had such beautiful painted nails, and I thought why not?
I have been experimenting with all different colors but I think my favorites have to be the Crackle polishes. I have most of them from China Glaze, but also have three from Sally Hansen. I just love them! Favorite non crackle polish...that would probably be Avon in Copper Armor. It's just a really pretty bronzey color that looks beautiful with a tan! My only gripe is that it chips like crazy if you forget to put on a top coat! Speaking of top coats, I absolutely love Winning Nails Tough Coat Bonder/Sealer. It's marketed for a sealer for nail art, but I read reviews from women that just used it as a top coat and loved it! It definitely makes my manicures last at least 5 days longer. Who doesn't want that when they spend all that time getting the polish on?!
Alrighty I think that is it for now - in future posts I will start taking pictures of everything.
Stay beautiful!

What I'm loving right now.
Hey everyone!
I thought I would share the skin care items that I am absolutely loving at the moment! I was going to add beauty items in this post but it turned out to be a ton longer than I meant it to be. I will have a separate post for beauty items!
Banana Boat Sunless Summer Color Self tanner in Deep Dark Color - oh my gosh this is the best self-tanner I have ever tried! I am naturally extremely pale and I got really sick of it and really wanted a nice glow without having to spend a lot of money on spray tans, or risk getting skin cancer by going in the tanning beds.
I have tried a few in the past like the Jergen's gradual one, the Hemp gradual one, and a few others but they always came out very streaky and orange! I did some research online and found reviews on the banana boat one and someone advised people with really light skin tones to just go for the dark one because the lighter ones turned them orange.
The first time I applied it I mistakenly didn't use gloves. I washed my hands a lot but I still got AWFUL stained, bright yellow/orange nails! I definitely learned my lesson. Also the first time, it was a little streaky.
I did some more research to see if I could find some tricks on how to apply the self-tanner and I saw there was a brand from QVC that had a flat-top kabuki type brush to apply the tanner with...I found a Physician's Formula brush (I think it's called "airbrushing kabuki"?) and I LOVE it to help with applying my tanner! What I do is blend in the tanner with my hands (while wearing gloves!) and then buff it out with the brush. It looks fantastic! I wouldn't recommend just applying the tanner with the brush, I did that first and it didn't work as well.
Burt's Bees Radiance Body Lotion - I put this on over my tan and it gives me such a beautiful glow. This lotion has some shimmers in it and it is so beautiful! I also put a little on my face on my cheekbones and around the eye area to brighten those spots - works like a charm. I will say that I don't use it as a moisturizer really, I bought it for the sole reason to give my skin some shimmer and glow. On to what I DO use as moisturizers...
Hemp Moist Lotions: Hemp with Argan Oil and Hemp Pomegranate Mango - these are probably my Holy Grail body lotions. I have tried many in the past and none have been as good as these! The one with Argan Oil is a thinner consistency (not runny though) and it absorbs into my body almost like a serum would. I put this one on first and then follow with the Pomegranate Mango, which has a little thicker consistency. They both smell amazing!
Shaving Products - I am so in love with the EOS Ultra Moisturizing Shave Cream in Vanilla Bliss. I have used so many shave gels before and nothing compares to this one. I usually really research items that I want to buy to make absolute sure that I'm going to like them but this was an impulse buy and I am so glad I got it! It says on the bottle that since it doesn't foam, you can use it dry or wet. I'm a little scared to use it dry because it's kind of like a lotion, but I will let you guys know if I do. It made my legs so smooth and amazing, I usually have an awful time after shaving with skin irritations, especially under my arms but not with this! I have also been loving the Gillette Fusion Proglide Razor. I know it's a man's razor but the women's razors never compare! My husband and I were using the power proglide until recently, we purchased the non power one because we got an amazing deal on them at Walgreens - .089 each! I have to say, I love the non power one so much better, it seems to get a closer shave and just "glide" across the skin better.
L'oreal Ideal Skin Genesis Moisturizers (for face) - I am absolutely in love with this line. I will give you some background on my skin: I have never really had awful skin, no acne growing up other than a pimple here and there, but I have always had pretty red cheeks. Not bad enough to be considered rosecia (spelling??), but just kind of "ruddy". I am 22, and in the last year my skin has become a little more sensitive - I get acne breakouts more often and I have oily/combination skin now, my t-zone is oily and I have some extremely dry patches on my face, mainly on my eyelids. I went in search of a good moisturizer and found this line. I got them extremely cheap on Amazon! If you want to try this line, I HIGHLY suggest you check there first.
Out of the line I have the Pore Minimizing Gel Cleanser, the Serum Concentrate, Day and Night Cream, and the Eye cream. I have been using the moisturizers religiously for about two to three weeks and I am blown away! I don't have wrinkles by any means (I'm pretty sure it's targeted to those who do) but I thought I might as well get an early start on the anti aging stuff to try to hold off getting wrinkles longer.
Anyways, tonight I looked in the mirror (I didn't wear makeup today) and was blown away by how amazing my skin looked! The redness in my cheeks was diminished and I just had an all over glow that I love. I highly recommend this line!
For removing Makeup - Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes - I have used these wipes for probably about 6 months now and will use them forever! They smell fantastic and they are amazing for taking off most of my makeup. I usually use one of these first and then continue with my routine: L'oreal Eye Makeup Remover (in the green bottle) - I am in love with this eye makeup remover. I had tried the Almay one first and hated it. It was extremely greasy and kind of dried out my eyelids even more than they already are, and it stung a little if you got it in your eyes! The L'oreal stuff doesn't sting and it claims to condition your lashes, which I agree with. My lashes actually feel a tiny bit thicker, so it's an added plus. After this I will wash my face with my gel cleanser unless I am really tired.
Acne Products - Burt's Bees Acne Spot treatment liquid and acne moisturizer - I have used so many acne products in the past and none of them have worked as well as these. Like I said above, I have been getting acne breakouts a lot more often. I don't use acne products every day, but when I have a breakout I switch from my normal moisturizers to these. I also use the L'oreal Go 360 Clean Anti-Breakout Cleanser with the Scrublet. I adore this cleanser, very gentle and the scrublet is awesome! I will definitely keep it even after the product runs out, although I will definitely repurchase. This trio of acne products really seems to help me out a lot.
Other face products - I have been loving the Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Ultra Cleansing Mud Mask. I try to use this once a week to keep my pores clean. I have a little routine with this as well, before I use the mask I use a pore strip, and then the Biore Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser immediately after I use the strip, and then I use the mask. I think it works a ton better then the Queen Helene green mint mask. It has orange and bergamont in it and it smells SO good! I only use this once a week because it takes about 45 minutes to do this routine with waiting for the pore strip to dry, and also waiting for the mask to dry.
Lip products - I have been using the combination of the EOS Lemon Lip Balm and the C.O. Bigalow Lemon Lip Cream from Bath and Body Works. I used them together first just because they were both lemon, but the combo seems to work pretty well.
I think that is it for now! I will post my favie makeup/beauty products of the moment shortly.
What have YOU been loving lately?

Hello Everyone!
Hello!
I thought I should write a quick "about me" post.
My name is Nykkie and I am 22. I am married to a wonderful guy (Andrew) and have 5 (I know, a ton!) sweet kitties. I am going to school for Dental Assisting.
I have always been interested in makeup and beauty, but just recently I have become way more involved in making myself look the best that I possibly can. I have learned a few tips and tricks along the way and I thought I'd share them!
This blog will include anything from beauty and fitness to just my daily life. I am into photography as well so I will try to post pictures with every post!
Thanks for reading and I will update soon!

This blog will include anything from beauty and fitness to just my daily life. I am into photography as well so I will try to post pictures with every post!
Thanks for reading and I will update soon!
